Playing the Game

What game you ask? While we all are actively playing the game of Life, that's not the one I'm talking about. The game I'm playing right now is called "hurry up and wait". You know, like when you plant your garden. You prepare the beds, plant the seeds, weed, water and wait. Or, when you rush like heck for a meeting with someone and they show up late. You understand what I'm talking about, don't you? What I'm getting at is the fact that I have made my decision to become a full-time RV'er, researched all the pertinent facts, started the purge process, and made some major decisions. I have even started to take action towards the realization of my dreams. Last night I got a detailed letter from my blogger friend, Snookie. She and her husband are full-time RV'ers and have a very entertaining and informative blog, here. Reading from her mail, " oh, one more suggestion, Bigger Print! You're going to be followed by us "Aging Boomers" oh I can't believe I said that! Sad but true. Just a suggestion." First of all, I would like to offer a suggestion for this. Notice in the left-hand corner of your keyboard is a key marked "ctrl"? Yes it's the control key. Press it down and roll the wheel on your mouse. When you roll it towards you, the words get smaller. When you roll it away from you, they get larger or should I say more readable? I tend to leave my zoom level at 135%. That coincides with the fact that I wear 1.25 readers. Snookie also asked me what I was going to do for Internet access. I'm still a little undecided on that, but I have narrowed my choices down. It will either be Hughes Net or Verizon mobile and Cradle Point. I am still open to suggestions for Internet access. I am not going to install a washer and dryer. I really don't mind coin-op laundries. I like the fact you can use more than machine and get your work done quicker.

Snookie also asked me how I am going to handle my mail. I've spent a lot of time and thought on this question myself. I resent the fact that you must have a State of Domicile. My domicile is going to be my fifth wheel. My home will be wherever I dropped my jacks. But that's not legal, is it?. I have read but has been said about choosing a State of Domicile. Popular states are Texas, Florida, and South Dakota. I know about the SKPs or Escapees in Lewisville, Texas. I like their club philosophy, the co-op idea, and the fact that they are located in Texas. I have also investigated South Dakota. I like many of the advantages of becoming a resident there. A real plus is that I have been there and really like the state. I like the fact that they charge 3% on motor vehicle transactions. Escapees and South Dakota comprise my short list.

South Dakota

It is a really great for someone to take an interest in one's blog. It's even better when you are a fan of their blog. It's sort of like "brothers from another mother" or "sisters from another mister". More appropriate in this case, is RV'ers from the same "State (of mind)". Thank you so much Snookie for your interest, advice, and wonderful blog. It would be an honor for you to link to my blog.  Any advice and information from you is welcomed.

It has been a trend for me to post videos. Here's one that I think is funny and clever. And probably true in so many cases.(I sense a recurring theme here).

It's time for me to get out of here. I'm in a great big hurry today. If you need me, I'll be busy waiting. I'm still marching on........ Towards the Dream.
