To be quite honest, I have never drawn my gun on anyone.(and I hope I never have to). You have to remember that I was born and raised in Texas. I am not a violent person, but I will defend myself and the ones I love. When I get overly stressed out, I like to go to the gun range and 'bust some caps'. If you have no idea what those caliber numbers mean, watch this...

I certainly hope I haven't offended any of my readers. I will tell you I've been a member of the NRA since I was 10 years old. I don't believe in going out looking for trouble, but I do believe in being prepared if trouble comes your way. When we go on our Harley rides, most of my friends, almost without exception, have their CHL's and we are certainly well armed. I really enjoy it when our buddy Jake goes with us. He is a federal agent with the ATF. And just so you know, in my last 'real' job, part of my duties were being in charge of our police department. But I'm going be honest with you, I am so glad that I retired.
Once again, thank you so much for stopping by. It means the world, to me. See you next time my friends.
Michael
The little bird had me laughing out loud. I have a taser gun. Does that count?
ReplyDeleteI am not comfortable with guns but Jim has several guns. Most of them are locked in a safe in our son's house. When he was younger Jim and his two older boys used to hunt all the time. Growing up in Montana I've been around guns most of my life but just not comfortable with them.
ReplyDeleteThe NRA is way to liberal for me.
ReplyDeleteROFL!!! Michael, the wee bird is priceless!! I may have to "steal" that and put it somewhere within easy access. Lordy, that's a keeper! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLMAO!!! love the little duck! HAhaaaa... I'm stealing it ... gotta have it... HAhaaaaaa
ReplyDeleteI truly needed that.... ;)
Thanks for the smile today, Michael! We have the 33 state CWP, too. We had to attend an all day class here in WA to get it. We had an officer ask us one time, "What are you afraid of?" We answered, "NOTHING!!"
ReplyDeleteLove the first video! No guns here, but I am all in favor of the right to carry...

LMAO I love that little yellow bird and his song. I will try and steal to. I don't do guns afraid I will hurt myself. But I do use Hornet spray in my motor home and up her in the mountains I keep it handy to.
ReplyDeleteLaser guns and wasp spray do count! Like I said, I would not look for trouble, only be prepared if it came my way. And Barney, I'm with you. Can you believe those liberals (NRA) opposed the Brady Bill? Here is the addy of the piss-off duck.

I lost a follower last night. I guess they were offended by my 2nd amendment rights. Wonder who it was? I miss you, whomever you are.
ReplyDeleteAs you know Arizona is one of the most liberal gun state there is...I do carry a small pistol when I jog...it is made for runners..light weight. For protection from four and two legged creatures....sometimes it is a woman's only equalizer. I just would like to know why they always show the woman / girl shooting only half dressed...I mean really!...they should get with the program..those are not the women buying guns.
ReplyDeleteI have spent a lot of time in Arizona. I love their gun laws. The Arizona laws are as they should be, open carry and no license required for conceal carry.
ReplyDeleteHere in Louisiana we love our guns. I've always had one. My dad taught me how to shoot when I was 12. Don't carry it with me when I travel but maybe I should.
ReplyDeleteGypsy~you know what they say, "Better to have one and not need it...." you know the rest. I look at guns as tools. Only to be used when needed.
ReplyDeleteHey Michael, Thanks for commenting on my gun post! You know I agree with you and enjoy exercising our 2A rights :) Nice collection you have there! I kind of expect a few of my followers will leave, I hope not, but it is a pretty polarizing topic. Hoping there isn't a mass exodus though ;P
