Today's Post is a Waste of Time (but fun!)

I don't know about you, but it seems like the quicker I try to get ahead, the farther I fall behind. Here I am, trying to get this house ready to sell, and all I hear from the newscasts is how bad our economy is. I want to reiterate, I am not a doomsayer. I picture myself as a simple man, rolling down the highway of life, in my faithmobile. And at times, it seems like I have forces working against me. I know that nothing worth having comes easy.

I have a lunch meeting today. I'm meeting with a friend of mine, who is a real estate appraiser. I have printed out my house for sale website, so I'm I'm going to buy his lunch, and get his opinion about the price that I should ask for my house. I've told you previously that I'm asking $365k for my house. I'm just very curious about what the appraisal is going to be. I don't want to leave any money on the table.( in all reality, that would be my money) I'll let you know how that turns out.

Now, onto less serious business. I have found two websites that kind of amused me. Yes, both of them are a waste of time, but I think they are fun and enjoyable. You know the old saying about all work and no play, right?

Now, that was amusing, wasn't it? Do you use Google reader? I do, and I think it's fantastic. At present, I subscribe to 107 different blogs, or journals, as some like to call our writings. I truly do love to read, and I have become fascinated with the writings of my fellow travelers. Here are four that I would like for you to take a look at...

I do want thank all of you for your interest, and especially for your comments. Some of you, and you know who you are, I feel like I already know. In a weird sort of way, we are communicating the way people did for hundreds of years. That's right, we're starting to know each other by letters. Isn't it wonderful that we don't have to rely on an antiquated postal system? It is time for me to get on the faithmobile and head to town. Today I'm going to take the two-wheel faithmobile. (the Harley). It is my desire that you experience peace, love, and happiness, today.

  1. I can't believe your beautiful home hasn't already sold! As the stock market reflects, I think we're all worried about the economy.

You're posts are always interesting, Michael. I can't imagine what adventures we'll hear about when you're on the road for good!

Good luck with your meeting with the appraiser.

  2. You know I think of you and Jack as more than friends, right? You two have that family feel to me. :)

  3. Hey, good catch with those blogs. So Far From Heaven was a new one to me, and I'm glad to read it.

  4. I believe that higher pirced places will still sell regardless of the economy. It is the middle class and lower class homes that are having the problem. Maybe you ought to double your asking price (grin).

  5. Michael, I just have a knowing that your house will sell for more than enough for you, and enough left over to give. You have people to meet and stories to share and Faith to spread...this is the hard part of full timing...the preparation! Always in our prayers! I also just know we're going to get to meet you and go for some awesome rides. Hang in there, Dear Friend!

  6. Okay, I had the Chicken sit, try to stand on its head and then wave bye-bye. Then Akinator guessed Humphrey Bogart correctly. Silly, silly! I just bet things are going to work out fine for you. Things happen when and as they should, ya know. Yes, to me blogger friends are much like the pen pal I had when I was a kid. . .Getting to know one another through words alone. It is very special, actually. :)

  7. You two Ducks are always welcome. Did you Akinator?

Diz~The appraiser said something along the same line. He said I could always come down.

Thank you Kitty. I believe you.

TYR Betty~I'm glad you said chicken-SIT. Our blog family is awesome, isn't it? Akinator is dang smart.

  8. Like I have sad before you have a great place. How much more stuff do you have to get rid of? Good luck set a date to be done and put up the sign and you will get it done. :)

  9. Man, I do love the house AND the bike! I just have a feeling that good things are heading your way!

You have a good one, my friend!

  10. JoJo and Jim~Thank y'all so much for the encouraging words. I am about at the end of my purge. I still have some heavy moving and it has been so dang hot, I seem to find other 'essential' inside jobs to keep me busy.

  11. Just a note so you know I haven't abandon you. :-)
You are in so much better shape than the vast majority of the country today.
    Keep your dream alive!!
