Ebb and Flow of My Life

I would truly like to act like a 10-year-old, stomp my feet, throw a tantrum, and generally piss and moan because I'm not getting my way. But, we don't do that as adults, do we? Okay, to be completely honest, I threw a mental tantrum and I don't care who knows it. Why can't people do what they say they're going to? I know that's a stupid question. I'm sure it has been asked ever since the Garden of Eden.

I had some people very interested in my house. The man came out and looked at it, and then his wife and three daughters came out and looked at it. This family went as far as to have their contractor come out and go through it. In all, they paraded through my house a total of four times. The last time I heard from them was about a month ago. At that time, they told me we were right on track. Right on track for what? I suppose a waste of my time and another futile lesson in tire kickers.(or lookie-loos).

Let me ask you a question, okay? When you listen to videos, say, from YouTube, do you listen through your laptop speakers? If you do, I would like to make  a couple of suggestions. The cheapest alternative would be a set of earbuds. Here's what I use, and they were only $21 from Tiger Direct.....( what an amazing difference. The key is the sub-woofer)

Creative Labs Inspire A220 PC Speakers

I feel like I need to get my spiritual groove on. Take it away boys......

Here's a couple from Van Morrison........

Okay, I feel a lot more charged up. One foot in front of the other, trying to do the next right thing. If I don't get this house sold, I think I may go stark raving bonkers. By the way, I still have my ace up my sleeve, but, I'll tell you more about it when it gets played.

I hope everything is going well for you. Do you pray? If you do, I would like for you to pray for the following families. My heart goes out to all of them. I know that God is the Great Physician.

As we carry on, I am hoping and praying everything goes according to plan!

  1. Maybe with spring in the air it will bring out a home buyer instead of just the lookie-loos.

    Hang in there Michael!

  2. Jim and Sandie are two of our good friends. We just spent a week with them in Apache Junction. They both never said a word while we were with them. She emailed me just hours after we left to let us know about Jim. They are two of the most caring and loving people! Prayers for a successful surgery and complete recovery for Jim, and patience for Sandie.
I blog with Nan. Prayers for continued strength for John!
Thanks for the wonderful video. It is all in God's hands!

  6. OH how thoughtful to add them on your blog for prayers. I truly hope all goes well. Good luck with your house. Weird that they even brought the contractor in. They'd have to be serious to do that. Maybe soon, very soon, things will happen!

    2. I do believe it's all good now. Rained the other day, no leaks!! :-) I also meant to say that when I watch DVD's or movies on my laptop, I use headphones. I have a wireless set & regular wired ones. The wired ones are lighter in weight & more comfortable. There are too many sounds missed otherwise. Or I'll hook my speeakers up to the computer. I have speakers hooked up to my tv too.

  7. We ask that same question - why can't people do what they say they will or at least step up and say they can't or won't. Hey, I use earbuds on my laptop when listening to music. It's the only way to groove! Good vibes headed your way for selling the property. :)

  9. It's hard to know what's up with your potential buyers. Maybe they're working through financing issues. I doubt they would have looked four times and hired the time of a contractor if they were just Sunday drivers. Would be decent if they dropped you a note or an email, though.

Also on the "send good vibes" list are David and Sherry in Florida. David is responding well to treatment and feeling reasonably good, and there's more ahead.
