A Prelude to the Sale.

As we say here in Texas, Howdy y'all! Spring has sprung and I'm still here waiting for a house buyer. I have had a fair amount of callers and lookers, but no money yet. I do have an ace up my sleeve, but I'm not ready to reveal it, yet. I apologize for my lack of posting, I just don't like to ramble on, any more than usual. I do have a picture of the first day of spring.....

As most of you know, I am a dog person. I believe they were sent here by our Creator to help us on this path we call life. I was saddened by this story from the Bayfield Bunch.(CLICKY)  If I have any real complaints about the life of dogs, it has to be their longevity. Please use caution if you go to this link, I blubbered like a little baby. Al and Kelly, I think you are great doggie parents. God bless you.

Well, we got through April Fool's Day, and next will be the Easter weekend. Here is some pre-Easter music from an unusual character, Leonard Cohen.....

I sincerely hope everyone has a great week. I have friends staying here with me, and we're gonna do carpentry work and any other thing that would get this house ready for the sell. Let me add, not if it sells, but when it sells. So, fingers crossed, prayers said, mojo attended to, and any other thing that helps with the business at hand.

Thank you for stopping by. I've already told you how much it means to me, and it still does.

  2. Glad to see you posting again. Have my finger crossed for an imminent sale for you. Should be warming up enough up there for people to begin thinking of summer at the lake. People were swimming at Canyon Lake this weekend. Unless someone has traveled either N-S or E-W through Texas, it is hard for them to understand the big difference in temps between the panhandle and San Antonio. I was sad about Motormouse too but happy thinking about what a wonderful life she had with Al and Kelly. I think she did say goodbye and went in her own way.

    1. Oh yes, Dumas to Brownsville...835 miles or 15 hours. El Paso to Longview...763 miles or almost 15 hours. You have a whopping 268,820 square miles.(or 696,241 square kilometers).

  3. We also got drippy and snotty over Cora's passing.

We will not blubber over the sale of your house, however. We will yippy-skippy and clink beer cans in celebration.

  5. My heart shatters every time someone loses one of their beautiful pets. I don't handle it well. So blubbering is what I do. I have my yippies and skippies and my bottle of water ready to celebrate. The sooner the better please.

  7. Michael, thanks for sharing all the good stuff again. Thanks, too, for being a good hearted, "doggy" kind of guy. Sure makes the world a nicer place when we have our furry pals to keep us company.

  8. Hey Russ. I don't think I would like a world without dogs. I sure don't trust people who don't like pets. Do you?

  9. I have with that your place will sell this Spring. There is something about this time of year that makes people want to go to water. Your house on the lake is just the right place.
